General Manager – Infant Care
Andy Niccol is General Manager of the Infant Care product group team at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Andy received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with first class honours from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has over 15 years’ medical product design experience and has designed devices for Neonatal, Paediatric and Adult patients.
Andy held various product development and leadership roles within Fisher & Paykel Healthcare before taking up international design consultancy work in London in the mid-2000s. On his return to Auckland, he re-joined Fisher & Paykel Healthcare as a Senior Product Development Engineer before becoming General Manager of the Non-invasive Ventilation product group.
Andy currently manages Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s Infant Care business, which includes its product development, clinical research, marketing and operations teams. He has been involved in the design of the company’s entire neonatal portfolio, as well as its market-leading masks for non-invasive ventilation therapy. Under his management, the Infant Care team has secured multiple international award wins for its Optiflow Junior product design and marketing. Andy has a particular interest in neonatal and pediatric respiratory support and infant resuscitation medical device technology.
