FMHS/ Surgery
I am currently a research fellow in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (Department of Surgery) at the University of Auckland. I am continuing my PhD research, which includes the development of technology for noninvasive gastrointestinal (GI) monitoring while working closely with clinicians to establish clinical utility. I am passionate about my research because there is currently no other tool that can assess GI function in a prolonged, ambulatory setting. This technology has the potential to lead to new scientific discoveries related to the cause of GI disorders, provide more accurate diagnoses, and inspire novel therapies.
