My main area of research is the physiotherapy management of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly osteoarthritis. Recent research has been looking at exergaming (gamification of therapeutic exercise) to investigate:
– Enjoyment and engagement with exercise
– Adherence to exercise therapy
– Impact on patient outcomes
Other areas of research include manual therapy for knee osteoarthritis, splinting for thumb osteoarthritis, and the role of the neck in persistent post-concussion symptoms.
