Dr Geoff Willmott

University of Auckland
Depts of Physics and Chemistry

I am an applied soft matter physicist working at the bio/nano interface. I have particular experience with sensing, measurement, and analysis of subcellular-sized particles using the nanopore-based ‘resistive pulse’ method, as commercialized by nanotech startup Izon Science. This method, and others under development, are especially attractive for analysis of several nanoparticle types that are increasingly of interest in medical technologies – exosomes, drug delivery vehicles, and on-bead diagnostics, for example.
