The focus of my research is to assess the effects of biological processes and tissue damage (e.g., bone degeneration and soft tissue rupture) on the human body using experimental methods, imaging and computational modelling. My work is committed to use engineering principles and methods to answer specific clinical questions with the overarching goal of improving early diagnosis for better recovery.
My research is concentrated in three areas:
- Spine disorders
- Foot and ankle biomechanics
- Modelling of the musculoskeletal system.
