Integrated Bioactive Technologies
GAP573 is a small synthetic peptide that has demonstrated efficacy at promoting tissue regeneration through modulation of cell to cell communication, stimulating blood vessel formation and reducing inflammation. The peptide has unique features making it important in signalling and in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) when exposed to light of particular wavelengths. The exploitation of these features potentially makes GAP573 well suited as a cost effective ingredient for tissue regeneration applications. We are interested in collaborating with partners who wish to exploit the unique properties of GAP573 with respect to the objectives of the MedTech CoRE.
