Alkaisi’s current research interest including High resolution imaging of biological cells, Interactions of biological cells with patterns, Role of micro and nano environment on cancer growth, Bio-MicroElectro Mechanical Systems (BIOMEMS), Cell sorting and guiding, Development of 3D nanoscale patterning and Bioimprint.
Understanding the role of the physical environment on biological cells behaviour is essential in many medical fields and finds applications in areas such as tissue engineering, medical implants, stem cell differentiation, cancer spread and in cell culture platforms. This work is related to Theme 5: Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine.
