My research interests encompass the development and application of imaging and mapping technology, numerical methods and computer models to understanding the propagation of bioelectric signals and how these are modulated by tissue structures across a range of scales. This research has applications to: (1) understanding and processing signal features from normal and diseased tissue; (2) understanding mechanisms and designing new algorithms for electrical control of bio-arrhythmia; and (3) designing new methodology for real-time validation of embedded algorithms on implantable devices.
