Auckland Bioengineering Institute
Dr. Angeli is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland, where he holds a prestigious Edith C. Coan Fellowship from the Auckland Medical Research Foundation.
Dr. Angeli’s research focuses on developing new technologies for mapping, monitoring, and modulating gastrointestinal (GI) electrical activity, which is a vital controlling mechanism of GI motility and digestion. His work is largely conducted across the fields of bioengineering and medicine, aiming to achieve new levels of clinical understanding for functional GI disorders, as well as developing new electrophysiologically-based diagnostics and therapeutics for those disorders.
Dr. Angeli plays a central role in the MedTech CoRE’s Flagship project on “Diagnosis and Therapy of Gastric Dysrhythmias.”
