Dr Volker Nock

University of Canterbury
Electrical and Computer Engineering

In my research I explore technological developments in microfabrication and microfluidics for their integration into novel biomedical devices. My field of research includes applied micro- and nano-fabrication, microfluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip devices. Current projects in these areas investigate the use of Bioimprint cellular replication to generate biomimetic tissue culture substrates and implant surfaces, as well as the development of on-chip assays for the characterization of cellular response to oxygen gradients and novel insulin sensors.
